CAN TAKE 5-7 DAYS for this to be made and delivered.

Using a soap cutting log splitter with a wire is a straightforward process, especially if you’re looking to cut large batches of soap into uniform bars. Here’s how you can use it:

  • Soap Cutting Log Splitter: This tool typically has a wire attached to a frame that is stretched accross the frame and you slide your block along it to cut the soap.
  • Soap Loaf: The large loaf is slid accoss the base and the wire cuts it into bars of soap

  • Steps to Use a Soap Cutting Log Splitter:
  • Prepare the Soap Loaf:

    • Ensure that your soap loaf has fully cured or is firm enough to cut. If it’s too soft, wait a few days
    • Measure the width of the bars you want to cut to ensure even slicing. Adjust the wire tothat height
  • Position the Soap Loaf:

    • Place the soap loaf on the soap cutting log splitter's platform. Align it according to where you want the cuts to be made.
  • Adjust the Wire:

    • Ensure the cutting wire is taut and properly aligned with the guide marks. The wire should be free of any nicks or damage.
  • Cutting Process:

    • Hold the loaf in place with one hand (or both, depending on the size of the splitter) to ensure it doesn’t move.
    • Gently but firmly slide the soap along the base toward the wire. The wire should slice through the soap smoothly, creating clean, even cuts.
    • Continue this process until all your soap is cut
    • Once the loaf is fully cut, carefully remove the logs or bars from the splitter.

  • Post-Cutting:

    • If needed, trim any rough edges with a soap beveller.
    • Allow the freshly cut bars to cure, if they haven’t already, before packaging or using.

Tips:

  • Maintain the Wire: Regularly check and replace the wire if it becomes dull or damaged to ensure clean cuts.
  • Use Guides: Your log splitter comes with guide marks or rulers, use them to ensure uniform cuts, which is especially important for commercial products.
  • Practice: If you’re new to using a log splitter, practice with a small batch to get the hang of the pressure needed and the best technique for your setup.

This process should help you create uniform bars of soap efficiently and with minimal waste.
