  • Day 11:

    ✅ Watch videos about trace — light, medium, thick.

    ✅ Practice with a water and oil emulsion (no lye) to get stick blender technique down.


Learn About Trace

Objective: Understand the stages of trace.

What to Learn:

  • Light trace: still fluid, best for swirls and designs.

  • Medium trace: like pudding, good for basic pouring.

  • Thick trace: sets quickly, best for layering or texture.

Tasks:

  • Watch videos comparing light, medium, and thick trace.

  • Practice blending oil and water (no lye) to observe emulsification.

  • Learn when to stop blending and just stir.
