  ✅ Unmould and cut your first soap.

Understand Gel Phase

Objective: Learn about temperature’s effect on soap.

What to Learn:

• Gel phase = soap heats up in the mould and becomes more vibrant and translucent.

• Can be encouraged (insulate with a towel) or prevented (cool environment).

• Doesn’t affect soap quality — just appearance.

Tasks:

• Check your moulded soap: Did it gel?

• Slice a small corner to look inside.

• Make notes for future batches: do you want to gel or not?
